Almondale Academy has had field trips as part of its curriculum for over 35 years. Field trips are an integral part of the learning process for students.  All field trips, with the exception of the end-of-the year fun day, are curriculum generated.

Our first field trip in October was to the Sacramento Railroad museum in Downtown Sacramento. The lower grades had been studying the pioneer days and the Western Expansion in the U.S.  The upper grades had been investigating transportation.

After the museum, students got a small tour of Old Sacramento by walking over to the Subway and the Old School House. The children experienced what a school day was like 150 years ago.  The students listened attentively and learned how important an education was back then and thus still now.  They loved it!

That was just one example of a learning field trip at Almondale. Check back often to hear more about what goes on at this private classical school.
