Our Standards

The State of California has in place specific standards and scholastic guidelines that are expected to be maintained by all schools, Almondale honors those expectations.

Implementation of the scholastic guidelines at the academy is accomplisshed through discussion, hands-on activites, and lectures that are followed by tutorial study sessions—independent and group.

Such an approach offers two outcomes:

1. The students have time to master materials before moving forward.

2. The approach supports the development of students’ positive self-esteem and confidence.

Age appropriate Core Topics are introduced to Kindergarten through twelfth grade academy students, and include:

• Phonics
• Reading, Writing
• Arithmetic, Algebra
• U.S. / World History
• Physical / Life Science
• Social Sciences
• Government / Economics
