Our Primary Teacher: Ms. Suero

Teaching is a calling I’ve always had in my heart, but this calling didn’t fully manifest itself until I began working at Almondale Academy. I’ve had many years of experience working with children. From babysitting, to tutoring students, working in daycare, to field experience in college, every experience has been fulfilling. After I graduated with my B.S. in Early Childhood Education, I continued to pursue this career path, but not whole heartedly. Coming across a school like Almondale Academy reconnected me with my purpose in life and reminded me of the reason I had chosen this path from the start. As a teacher I believe that the best approach is allowing students to be the pilots of their own education. I am a big fan of the Montessori method which is based on self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. It is a style that I have brought into my classroom that has worked very well for my students and I. This year I have the privilege of teaching 3 Spanish classes aside from my primary class. It has been a true joy to teach and share what I know with such creative students. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our wonderful school!
