History of Almondale Academy

Almondale Academy, the dream of a dedicated teacher, was designed to offer students “individualized academic attention” while fostering their self-esteem. Established in 1978 the school was initially opened in the then rurally situated two-story Victorian.

Over the course of 30 years changes have occurred including the retirement of the school’s creator over six years ago, still, the academy remains in private hands… a fortuitous circumstance that has allowed our alternative academic approach to continue proving positive for students at all academy levels.
